(NewsNation) — President Joe Biden said he has little faith that Trump will commit to a peaceful transfer of power, should the former president lose the election a second time.
Lara Trump, the co-chair of the Republican National Committee, said there won’t be any problems.
“It is my job to make sure that people who are voting for Trump feel like their vote matters,” she said Wednesday on “CUOMO.” “And I can assure you, if he does not legally and legitimately win, there will be no problem.”
Biden previously said Trump “means what he says. All the stuff about, ‘If we lose there will be a bloodbath, stolen election.’” It was Biden’s first TV interview since exiting the 2024 race, endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris and delivering a seismic shock to the 2024 election.
The House of Representatives Jan. 6 committee’s final report released in 2022 asserts that Trump criminally engaged in a “multi-part conspiracy” to overturn the lawful results of the 2020 presidential election and failed to act to stop his supporters from attacking the Capitol.
