Concert terror plot: A third teen has been arrested in connection with a foiled attack on Taylor Swift concerts that have now been canceled in Vienna, Austria’s interior minister announced Friday. The 19-year-old main suspect, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old have now been arrested in relation to the plot authorities say appears to have been inspired by the Islamic State group and al-Qaida. Bodycam video: Law enforcement has released body camera footage from local police responding to a shooter seconds before he opened fire on former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania last month. The footage shows the body camera perspective of multiple Butler Township Police Department officers in the minutes leading up to shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks‘ attempt on the former president’s life, which left Trump with an ear wound. Zoom in: In one of the videos, an officer is seen lifting another officer onto the roof of the building where the gunman was perched. As he climbs up, he sees Crooks point his gun at him, causing him to fall to the ground and run to grab his rifle. Seconds later, Crooks opens fire on Trump. Watch >
Trump rally shooting: The July 13 attack happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, as Trump was speaking to a large crowd while on the campaign trail. The U.S. Secret Service shot and killed Crooks seconds after he opened fire at Trump. A bullet appeared to go past Trump, grazing the side of his face. Debate dates: Former President Donald Trump says he’s agreed to three September debates across different networks. The debates will happen Sept. 4, 10 and 25, he said Thursday. ABC confirmed that both Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have agreed to attend the Sept. 10 debate, originally scheduled to be between Trump and President Joe Biden. ‘Midwest Princess’ vibes: The Harris-Walz campaign has sold nearly $1 million worth of now sold-out camo hats branded orange with “Harris Walz.” Harris announced Walz as her VP pick in a video that showed the Minnesota governor dressed in camo gear at his home. People online picked up on the camo hat in the announcement and started calling Walz a “Midwest Princess,” a nod to pop singer Chappell Roan’s merchandise. Weight loss meds: Patients who are on popular weight loss medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and others could face complications during surgery, a new study by UTHealth Houston shows. The study found that patients on GLP-1 medications like these were more likely to have residual gastric content — solids and liquids in the stomach — during surgical procedures, a major risk factor while under anesthesia. GLP-1 RAs (glucagon-like peptide receptor agonists) are commonly prescribed to patients with Type 2 diabetes to help stabilize blood glucose levels.
