Bryan Kohberger moved to Boise prior to Idaho murder trial
(NewsNation) — Bryan Kohberger has been transported from Moscow, Idaho to Boise ahead of the murder trial where he is accused of killing four University of Idaho students in 2022.
The Idaho Supreme Court gave the green light to move the trial from northern Idaho to Ada County last week. Judge Steven Hippler ordered that Kohberger be transferred into the custody of the Ada County Sheriff’s Department.
Boise is nearly 300 miles from Moscow, where the alleged slayings of the four students took place.
Kohberger was transported from Latah County in Idaho to the state capital on Sunday morning via plane.
Upon his transfer, an updated mugshot of Kohberger was released by the Ada County Sheriff’s Department.
Kohberger will be held at the jail until his trial begins in June of 2025. He is charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary.
