Usher claims X account was hacked amid Diddy arrest
- Usher's old X posts were deleted amid Diddy's arrest
- Singer claims his account was hacked
- Twitter users don't believe Usher's account was hacked
(NewsNation) — Usher spoke out about his posts on X disappearing after his friend and former mentor, Sean “Diddy” Combs, was arrested on sex trafficking charges earlier this month.
“Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it! 😂😂😂 See you tonight at Intuit Dome ✌🏾👀✌🏾,” Usher posted on Sunday.
The problem is that no one on X, formerly known as Twitter, seems to believe Usher coincidentally got hacked at the time of Diddy’s arrest; nonetheless, the hackers deleted everything rather than shared random posts.
“Sure bro sure,” one user responded to his post.
Another user said, “Nobody’s buying that dude.”
But Usher wasn’t alone: P!NK and Megan Fox also appeared to have had their X accounts wiped clean of old posts at the same time as Usher.
Rumors and speculation circulated on social media that Usher had deleted old posts on his account to cover up tracks that could connect him to the legal battle Diddy currently faces. However, those rumors remain speculation, and while Usher and Diddy are publicly known to have been friends, the relationship between the two began when Diddy, the founder of Bad Boy Records, produced Usher’s debut album back in 1994.
Diddy has faced major backlash since his arrest and indictment, but he was once considered one of the most influential hip-hop producers and executives of the last three decades.
