(NewsNation) — Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile phone customers across the country are reporting problems getting service, downdetector.com shows.
As of 4:41 p.m. ET Tuesday, over 36,789 service outages were reported for Verizon, over 613 for AT&T and more than 631 for T-Mobile, according to the website.
Social media users in Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and other cities posted about issues they were having on X, with many with Verizon saying their phones were in “SOS” mode.
“We are aware of an issue impacting service for some customers,” Verizon said in a statement. “Our engineers are engaged and we are working quickly to identify and solve the issue.”
AT&T, meanwhile, said another carrier experiencing a network issue was preventing its customers from calling their customers.
“We are not experiencing a nationwide outage,” AT&T said on X. ” Our national network is operating normally. Down Detector is likely reflecting challenges our customers are having attempting to connect to users on another network.”
