POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) — A man accused of sexually assaulting multiple underaged girls is back behind bars again for the second time in less than a month.
Pottawatomie County Deputies first arrested 21-year-old Brinden Ponkilla in late September after he was accused of multiple sexual assaults.
Ponkilla was later released on bond, but was handcuffed again on Tuesday after investigators said more victims came forward.
His own mother, Brandi Green, is begging for more victims to come forward.
“If I can prevent someone else’s child from being hurt, then that’s what needs to happen. People needed to warned,” Green said to NewsNation affiliate KFOR.
Green is the one behind a Facebook page for her son’s alleged victims ranging from ages 14 to 16 years old.
“From then on, girls started contacting me,” Green said.
Green said she learned of the assaults last year and turned in three of her son’s phones to police. She said she hasn’t been in contact with her son since.
“We just found overwhelming amounts of evidence,” she said.
Ponkilla is currently accused of sexually assaulting at least eight girls.
Green said every week a new victim contacts her.
Now she hopes that speaking out will prevent her son from hurting anyone else.
“I’m sorry to all the girls and their families. I hate that they have to go through this, but something has to stop somewhere,” Green said.
