Alicia Nieves is a national correspondent for NewsNation based in New York. An Emmy-award winning journalist, she joined the network in May 2024.
Previously, she served as an anchor for the financial streaming service Fintech TV where she hosted their daily business news programming from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to FinTech, Ms. Nieves was a business news anchor for Cheddar News and a national news correspondent for E.W. Scripps. She started her career as a freelance reporter for WPIX-TV in New York, New York.
During her tenure as a broadcast journalist, she has covered notable news stories, including the 2016 presidential election, Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, and major court cases such as actor Bill Cosby’s sexual assault case.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida and received a Master’s degree from Rutgers Business School.
