Andy Gipson is Executive Producer of News Distribution & Promotion for NewsNation.
In this role, he leads high-priority special projects and initiatives for NewsNation, including on-air special programming and coordinating coverage for the network around specific story beats. Day-to-day, he functions as liaison across the newsroom, PR, and Marketing departments to create high-profile wins for the channel.
Previously, Mr. Gipson served as the Executive Producer of NewsNation’s Rush Hour with Nichole Berlie where he managed the editorial direction and daily execution of the live afternoon show. The show originally launched as Early Edition in March 2021. Mr. Gipson joined NewsNation in May 2020 where he helped launch the network and create its original three-hour primetime newscast, for which he served as Supervising Producer. In summer 2021, he supported and helped oversee the network rebrand.
Prior to joining NewsNation, Mr. Gipson worked in morning television news for local stations across the country, including NBC’s San Francisco O&O station KNTV, WISH-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana, and WDRB in Louisville, Kentucky. Gipson earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Indianapolis.
