Brian Entin is a senior national correspondent for NewsNation.
During his tenure at the network, Entin has reported on major stories, including the trial of Lori Vallow “the Doomsday mom,” the Georgia bullying case of Trent Lehrkamp, the shooting at Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, the Trump indictment, and the murder trial of former South Carolina lawyer Alex Murdaugh, among others.
Entin first garnered national attention for his coverage of the 2021 Gabby Petito murder investigation. He spent six weeks camped out on the lawn next to then suspected murderer Brian Laundrie’s house in Northport, Florida where he delivered exclusive reporting and interviews with witnesses, police, federal authorities, and online sleuths.
Entin became the go-to reporter in the murder of four University of Idaho college students. He was on the ground in Idaho for months and the first national reporter in Effort, Pennsylvania when suspect Bryan Kohberger was arrested. Additionally, he helped create NewNation’s “Missing” persons series that has spotlighted 75 cases and brought closure to 20 families.
Previously, Entin served as a local reporter for WSVN-TV in Miami, Florida where he covered several major hurricanes, including Dorian from The Bahamas, Irma in the Florida Keys, and the rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. He also spent much of the first 100 days of the Trump presidency in Washington, DC.
Entin has won Emmy Awards for his coverage of the aftermath of the Fuego volcano eruption in Guatemala and his coverage of the death of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. In a 2023 profile, Vanity Fair described Entin as a “star” who “barely slept” — and fully embedded into the stories he covers.
