Dr. Lauren Wright joined NewsNation as a political contributor in June of 2024.

Currently, she serves as an Associate Research Scholar and Lecturer in Politics and Public Affairs at Princeton University where she teaches courses on The Presidency and Executive Power, Women and Politics, and Political Communication.

Dr. Wright has appeared on several networks as a guest political analyst, including CBS, CNN, C-SPAN, Fox News, and MSNBC.

Her research and commentary have been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, The San Francisco Chronicle, Glamour, The Atlantic, Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, The Hill, and The Huffington Post.

She graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Wake Forest University and received a Ph.D. from Georgetown University, where her focus was American government and political methodology. Her academic interests include presidential politics, political messaging, gender, and public opinion.
