(NewsNation) — The investigation continues after three bodies were found behind a home in Kansas City.

According to attorney John Picerno, Jordan Willis was lifelong friends with two of the men found outside his home and wants answers.

“He (Willis) wants answers as much as everyone does,” Picerno said during a Monday appearance on “Banfied.” “We all want answers to find out what happened to these lifelong (friends), two of them he (Willis) went to high school with. He’s known them for over 20 years. They’re his friends. He’s deeply hurt by their passing.”

David Harrington, Ricky Johnson and Clayton McGeeney reportedly visited Willis’s house Jan. 7 to watch the Chief’s game. Two days later, after not being able to get ahold of them, the fiancé to one of the men broke into the home and discovered one of their bodies on the back porch.

Once police arrived, the two other bodies were found in the backyard. Willis, who has been cooperating with police, said the three men froze to death.

Picerno said his client was home the entire time after last seeing his friends leave.

“The basic scenario is they had watched the Chiefs game in a couple of different places. They went back to his place afterwards to play some video games and hang out. And at some point during that process, he got tired and he fell asleep. … When he woke up, they were gone,” Picerno added.

The Kansas City Police Department has not found any signs of foul play and officers are not investigating the deaths as a homicide. The next steps in the investigation include receiving the medical examiner’s determination of a cause of death. Autopsy results are pending.
