(NewsNation) — TMZ executive producer Harvey Levin says he’s skeptical when it comes to the evidence against Bryan Kohberger, the man accused of killing four college students in Idaho.
Levin joined NewsNation’s Ashleigh Banfield on Thursday night to discuss his new series, “Strange & Suspicious,” which explores unexplained stories, including the University of Idaho murder case.
Levin clarified he’s not doubting evidence in the case, but he’s also not convinced by the prosecutor’s theories.
“I’m not saying he (Kohberger) didn’t do it,” Levin said on “Banfield.” “I’m saying the circumstances are boldly weird here.”
Kohberger faces four murder charges in connection with the November 2022 stabbing deaths of Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves in their off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho.

Authorities in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, arrested Kohberger, then a student at Washington State University, on Dec. 30, 2022.
Levin wants to know why Kohberger didn’t think about the screams from the victims, being a former graduate student at Washington State University’s Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology.
“Unless he planned on taking everybody out of the house, somebody’s gonna ID this guy, and it’s game over. … Circumstances are boldly weird here,” Levin said. “Unless he felt like he could take our six people, there was a huge risk. … I just don’t buy the party house theory.”
The trial is expected to start next June. If convicted, Kohberger, who entered a not guilty plea, could face the death penalty.
