(NewsNation) — TMZ’s Harvey Levin predicts Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyers will argue that the sex, “freak offs” and drug use at his parties were all consensual.
“I think they’re gonna have a huge problem with the Cassie (Ventura) video,” Levin said Thursday on “Banfield.” “But I think this is going to be ‘deny, deny deny’ defense. … The volume of this is going to be very difficult for him to overcome.”
Diddy remains locked up in a Brooklyn federal jail after a judge Wednesday rejected the hip-hop mogul’s proposal that he await his sex trafficking trial in the luxury of his Florida mansion.
Federal prosecutors Tuesday unsealed an indictment against Diddy, alleging he abused, threatened and coerced women to fulfill his sexual desires. He pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday afternoon.
The judge in the case denied bail for Diddy, saying, “There has been significant violence, and weapons around. Also coercion of witnesses, even gentle coercion, can be effective. The type of behavior we’re talking about happens behind closed doors … I cannot release him.”
