Family of dead AI whistleblower Suchir Balaji speaks out

A young man found dead in his San Francisco apartment from a gunshot wound to the head has been ruled a suicide — but his parents insist it was murder. The alleged motive? The controversy surrounds the death of 26-year-old tech prodigy Suchir Balaji, a former OpenAI employee who had recently spoken out in The New York Times about AI’s dangers. Just one month later, he was dead. In their first national interview, Balaji’s parents told NewsNation’s Brian Entin they believe their son was in danger for blowing the whistle — and that he knew it, too.
