(NewsNation) — Thousands of Americans reported issues with their phone service Thursday morning, though it appears to be hitting AT&T customers the hardest.

According to Downdetector, more than 73,000 AT&T users reported an outage at the peak of the issue. Around 2,900 Verizon and 1,200 T-Mobile customers also reported problems.

AT&T said service has been restored.

“We have restored wireless service to all our affected customers. We sincerely apologize to them. Keeping our customers connected remains our top priority, and we are taking steps to ensure our customers do not experience this again in the future,” the company said.

Verizon says their service was never disrupted.

“Some customers experienced issues this morning when calling or texting with customers served by another carrier,” they told NewsNation in a statement.

Users reported that they were having issues with their cellphones having no signal. Several users said they were not able to make or receive calls but texting appeared to be working.

“Some of our customers are experiencing wireless service interruptions this morning,” AT&T said in a statement to NewsNation early Thursday. “We are working urgently to restore service to them.  We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored.”

AT&T’s help account on X is asking users to send them affected zip codes.
