ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis native recently made an appearance on FOX’s ‘I Can See Your Voice,’ a live singing TV show.
Meaghan Moyers, a healthcare professional from St. Louis, opened the show singing “Killer Queen” by Queen, making a memorable entrance into the third season, second episode of the series.
Moyers, an internet influencer, has amassed a substantial following online, with 686,000 followers on Instagram and 406,100 followers on TikTok.
Reflecting on her experience on the show, she shared, “It was awesome. It was so much fun. I was a little nervous because I had never done TV before, but I met so many amazing, talented people to work with, and everybody was like a family on that show.”
She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work with such a supportive team, emphasizing the camaraderie that made the process enjoyable.
“Getting to meet Ken Jeong was so much fun,” she said. “He is so funny, and getting to just see him behind the scenes and stuff too, which is really cool.” She also mentioned meeting Adrienne Bailon, expressing her star-struck reaction to meeting a former member of The Cheetah Girls, a group she admires.
Despite her success as an influencer, Moyers remains committed to her career in healthcare. “I feel like I already am a full-time content creator. I spend almost all of my free time dedicated to it, but I don’t know if I’ll ever completely quit working in healthcare,” she said. “I do love my X-ray job. I think it would be neat to maybe one day get to just do X-rays on the side and then be more involved with social media.”
Moyers mentioned that she occasionally gets recognized by patients at work, which she finds amusing.
Reflecting on her social media journey, Moyers recalled her first viral video, a lip-sync video she made while at work. “I don’t know why I thought it would be so silly and just post it for my friends to see, and before you know it, it had a million views, which was so crazy,” she said.
The sudden influx of followers was overwhelming, and Moyers initially struggled with how to manage her profile. However, she gradually found her footing and began posting consistently, with the aim of sharing at least two videos a week.
“I have a big dance background. I grew up competing in dance from the age of four until I turned 18, and it was a significant part of my life,” she said. “So, I have plenty of experience performing on stage in that sense. Recently, I’ve been exploring comedy, stand-up, improv, and other comedic forms. I’m working hard to improve my craft and expand my reach in the comedy space.”
Moyers offered advice for those interested in creating content for social media. “Find something that you really enjoy creating and stay consistent with it and stay true to yourself, and you’ll be successful. You’ll find your audience,” she said.
