(NewsNation) — MrBeast, the most-subscribed-to YouTube personality, may be working with Amazon Prime in the near future.
Variety confirmed that MrBeast, whose actual name is Jimmy Donaldson, is considering doing a reality/competition show for Amazon. Negotiations were first reported by Puck News, which cited a source claiming the deal would be around $100 million.
Amazon and representatives for MrBeast have yet to comment on the potential show.
MrBeast, who produces competition, gaming and stunt videos, has more than 230 million subscribers on YouTube, and Monday, he received over $250,000 from his first video posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.
“MY FIRST X VIDEO MADE OVER $250,000! 😲,” MrBeast posted Monday. “But it’s a bit of a facade. Advertisers saw the attention it was getting and bought ads on my video (I think) and thus my revenue per view is prob higher than what you’d experience.”
The figure likely represents one of the largest payouts seen on X, which last year launched revenue share payments for creators. Earlier this month, MrBeast declined Elon Musk’s request to upload his videos to X.
It wasn’t the first time MrBeast rejected Musk. According to reports, Musk replied to Donaldson’s post about a new video last June, saying: “Post to this platform too. Earnings per view should be competitive with YouTube. If not, we will adjust.”
Donaldson earned $54 million in 2022, including $32 million from ads and $9 million from sponsored content, according to Forbes. The outlet said his earnings are the highest of any social media creator.
