CHICAGO (NewsNation Now) — Zoom is getting into the holiday spirit and scrapping it’s 40-minute time limit on Thanksgiving.
The announcement comes as health experts urge people to skip holiday gatherings this year because of the coronavirus.
The video communications company said it will offer unlimited meeting times starting midnight on Nov. 26 until 6 a.m. on Nov. 27 EST.
This month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its Thanksgiving guidelines.
The new guidance said older adults and those at risk of severe illness should stay home and if you attend a holiday gathering, bring your own food and avoid potluck-style meals.
