3 officers shot in Washington, DC: Police
WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Three police officers have been shot in Washington, D.C., the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened in southeast D.C. in the 5000 block of Hanna Place SE. According to police, the three officers have been rushed to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
DC Police said they were responding in the area and that the scene was still active as of 8:40 a.m. The shooting has prompted two elementary schools in the area to go on lockdown.
