VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Three people have been arrested in the Virginia Beach shooting of 8-year-old Landyn Davis, police said.
The boy was shot while he was at home, playing computer games on Feb. 13. Landyn went into a medically-induced coma after the bullet went through his head while his parents were away at a wrestling match. Around 20 bullets entered their home that day.
When Landyn’s parents got a call from their 15-year-old daughter, they rushed to their home on Peele Court to find their son seriously injured.
After nearly four weeks, two men and one woman were arrested and charged in connection to the incident, police announced on Friday, March 8. They are 21-year-old Toriyon Cook, 24-year-old Jerry Davis and 21-year-old Jakyra Epperson.
Cook and Davis were charged with malicious shooting and additional gun charges, and Epperson was charged on several concealing/destroying evidence charges.
WAVY will have more coverage on this throughout the day.
