Man arrested after allegedly hitting brother with brass knuckles
BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Police in south Texas arrested a man for allegedly hitting his brother with brass knuckles.
On March 29, deputies responded to an assault at a residence in Brownsville, Texas. At the scene, authorities attempted to speak with the suspect, who was identified as Mario Alberto Castillo, but was uncooperative.
Deputies spoke with Castillo’s 20-year-old brother, who reported that Castillo had hit him multiple times. Castillo’s mother reported to authorities she saw him assault his bother with brass knuckles and intervened, the release stated.
According to the release, Castillo reportedly hit his mom while she was trying to stop him from assaulting his brother.
Deputies say she was able to take away the brass knuckles from Castillo and hide it in the laundry room.
Authorities collected the brass knuckles as evidence.
