NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) — The Naugatuck Police Department are asking from help from the public after two kittens were thrown from a vehicle on Monday morning.

According to police, they received a call before 10 a.m. after a report came in that said two kittens were thrown from a car driving south in the area of North Church Street and Route 63 by the dam.

At the scene, police located two kittens between the ages of four and five months old dead on the road.

Witnesses told police that an older white female with white hair was driving a maroon sedan when the kittens were thrown from the driver’s side door.

Police say there was another black car between the witnesses’ car and the maroon car that swerved to avoid hitting the kittens. Police are looking for the driver of the black car to find out what they witnessed.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Naugatuck Police Department at 203-729-5222 or the Confidential Tip Line at 203-720-1010. Naugatuck Animal Control can also be contacted with any information at 203-729-4324 or naugatuckanimalcontrol@gmail.com.
