TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Nicholas Bollea, son of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, pleaded guilty to charges related to a November DUI arrest, according to court records.
The records showed that on Friday, Bollea pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and a Move Over Act violation.
In November, authorities said Bollea was arrested after speeding past a traffic stop while not moving over.
After pulling Bollea over, the officer who conducted the traffic stop said the Clearwater resident had a strong scent of alcohol on his breath and blood shot eyes. He also swayed and was unsteady but refused to do a breath test.
According to the court records, Bollea was sentenced to a year of probation but can apply for early termination after six months. He also had to go to DUI school and perform 100 hours of community service as well.
The judge also suspended his license for 12 months, fined him over $1,000, and will be continuously screened for drug and alcohol for 120 days.
Bollea was previously at the center of a lawsuit for years over a 2007 crash that paralyzed his friend John Graziano. He also pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge to the 2007 incident.
