Purse with $10K inside stolen during Uber Eats delivery: NYPD
CASTLE HILL, the Bronx (PIX11) — A purse with $10,000 inside was stolen during an Uber Eats delivery in the Bronx on Sept. 13, according to the NYPD.
A 27-year-old woman in Castle Hill placed the Uber Eats order around 2:40 a.m. She asked the delivery driver to place the order through the open window of an apartment near Haviland and Olmstead avenues, police said.
The delivery driver left the food at the door to the apartment instead of the delivery recipient’s open window, according to authorities. After dropping off the food, he’s accused of going to the window and taking the purse with $10,000 in cash inside from the windowsill.
No injuries were reported.
