Motorcyclist in Wisconsin caught speeding at 175 mph: Police
ROCK COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) — A recent aerial speed enforcement detail by the Wisconsin State Patrol captured a motorcyclist traveling over 175 mph, police said.
The Wisconsin State Patrol often holds aerial enforcement campaigns to keep an eye on drivers from skies high above roadways, which are typically announced in advance.
A recent Facebook post from the Wisconsin State Patrol states that the aerial enforcement, which was in Rock County, caught the motorcyclist moving at 175.7 mph while allegedly cutting in and out of traffic along Interstate 39 and Interstate 90.
The police helicopter pilot reportedly followed the motorcycle and provided updates to ground units to pull over the motorcyclist. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted without incident, police said.
Authorities say the driver was cited for reckless driving, speeding and failure to display a registration plate.
