NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Visitors to Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee, experienced a surprise performance from a pop superstar over the weekend, proving that you never know who you might see in Music City.

Saturday afternoon, Ed Sheeran joined the Jackson Capps Band on the third floor of Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge.

According to attendees, the performance lasted about 45 minutes with Sheeran performing Broadway bar classics and some of his own songs.

Video shows Sheeran getting into the Broadway spirit, wearing a pink cowboy hat as he sings “Thinking Out Loud.”

Sheeran is no stranger to Nashville. In July 2023, he set a record for the largest crowd in Nissan Stadium’s history after two sold out performances. After the record-setting shows, he showed up at Santa’s Pub, where he sang songs with attendees and prepared drinks behind the bar.

Sheeran was also a Nashville resident in 2013.
