‘Powerful lobbyists’ want tax money to go to junk food: Vittert

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has said she wants to stop people in her state from buying junk food using food stamps. Recently, Human and Health Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has said he also wants to change SNAP policies.
Leland Vittert says there are powerful lobbyists in Washington, D.C., fighting for tax dollars to keep paying for unhealthy food.
“We’re going to see very, very soon just how serious everyone is about making America healthy again,” Vittert said on Monday’s “On Balance.”
