CHICAGO (NewsNation Now) — Even in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, there is an innovative way to attend a live concert. The world’s first space bubble live concert has now been set for December.

The band, “The Flaming Lips” will perform in Oklahoma City and the audience will be watching from plastic bubbles. Band members say they want to perform in their hometown but also keep themselves and fans safe from COVID-19.

Each bubble has a maximum capacity of three people, masks are required throughout the event and concert-goers must also sign a waiver. The bubble concert is set for Friday, Dec. 11.
