Travis Kelce lands role in new FX horror series ‘Grotesquerie’
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) – Travis Kelce has landed his first big acting job.
As if he wasn’t busy enough with his football career, his podcast, his restaurant venture, his upcoming game show and frequent appearances at Taylor Swift concerts, Kelce has signed on for a role in Ryan Murphy’s new TV series “Grotesquerie.”
Kelce’s co-star Niecy Nash-Betts (“Reno 911,” “Claws”) confirmed the casting news Wednesday in a behind-the-scenes video with Kelce on social media.
“This is what happens when WINNERS link up‼️” Nash-Betts captioned the Instagram post.
Kelce later shared the clip on his Instagram story. “Steppin into a new world with one of the legends,” he wrote.
Other actors appearing in “Grotesquerie” include Courtney B. Vance and Leslie Manville. The upcoming “horror drama” is scheduled to debut sometime this fall, FX previously announced.
Kelce’s only previous acting experience includes his appearances on “Saturday Night Live” in 2023 and a surprise cameo on an episode of “Moonbase 8” in 2020. He also starred in a reality dating show, “Catching Kelce,” in 2016.
Kelce has taken on numerous Hollywood projects this off-season, including producing the film “My Dead Friend Zoe” and hosting the upcoming Prime game show “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”
Kelce recently signed a $34.25 million contract with the Chiefs and is now the highest-paid tight end in the NFL.
