Trump fires back at Rogan over praising RFK Jr.
(The Hill) — Former President Donald Trump shot back at podcaster Joe Rogan after he praised Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. this week.
“It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024,” Trump posted to his Truth Social site.
On Thursday, Rogan said on his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” that he was a “fan” of Kennedy because both Democrats and Republicans are perverting democratic norms.
“He’s the only one that makes sense to me,” Rogan said, adding that Kennedy “doesn’t attack people, he attacks actions and ideas, but he’s much more reasonable and intelligent.”
Rogan’s praise of Kennedy drew criticism from Republicans. On Friday, he posted on social platform X to clear the air.
“For the record, this isn’t an endorsement. This is me saying that I like RFKjr as a person, and I really appreciate the way he discusses things with civility and intelligence,” Rogan said. “I think we could use more of that in this world.”
Rogan also said in the post that he thought Trump raising his fist and yelling “fight” after his assassination attempt last month is “one of the most American f‑‑‑ing things of all time.”
“I’m not the guy to get political information from. If you want that from a comic, go to @ComicDaveSmith. He actually knows what he’s talking about,” Rogan said in his post.
