BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) — A Bradenton teenager will now be able to make music in her very own space.
14-year-old Faith McDonough has cystic fibrosis, a genetic condition that affects the body’s cells, tissues, and glands and damages the lungs and digestive system.
But Faith’s condition doesn’t deter her from her love of music, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation helped grant her a customized space.
On Wednesday, the nonprofit granted her wish— a musical “She Shed.” Her new musical oasis not only has a soundproof studio but also storage for her instruments.
The “She Shed” is equipped with insulation and noise absorbers, vinyl plank flooring, electricity, air conditioning, and a wall for music racks and holders.
Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has granted more than 14,000 wishes for kids with critical illnesses. To learn more or make a donation, visit wish.org/sfla.
