FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Several ducks were saved on Thursday thanks to a team effort between the Fresno Fire Department and the Fresno Animal Center.

Fire officials with the Station 11 USAR team say they, along with the Fresno Animal Center, were able to rescue eight ducks that were stuck in a storm drain on Thursday.

The Fresno Fire Department provided pictures showing members of the USAR team rescuing the ducks from the drain by using tools to ensure they were coming out safely.

The pictures also show four firefighters holding the yellow ducks after saving them from the storm drain.

As of Thursday, it is unknown when or if the ducks will be up for adoption.
