President Trump after hospital release says ‘don’t be afraid’ of coronavirus
WASHINGTON (NewsNation Now) — President Donald Trump told Americans “don’t be afraid” about COVID-19, in a video recorded shortly after returning to The White House Monday evening, after spending four days at Walter Reed Medical Center.
Dr. James Baker, a professor of allergy and immunology at the University of Michigan Medical School joined NewsNation to discuss the statement from President Trump.
“Obviously from a medical perspective, (people) need to be cautious with this infection. This virus is very contagious,” he said. “I think the events in the White House have shown that.”
Dr. Baker is also a former member of the council of advisors for the Bush White House.
