(NewsNation) — Police have released surveillance video showing the last moments Texas A&M student Caleb Harris was seen before he seemingly vanished on March 4, 2024, around 3 a.m.

Wearing white clothes and a baseball cap, Caleb Harris is seen with two friends and the dog he was walking outside his apartment complex.

His family has now doubled the reward for information to $50,000 in hopes someone will come forward.

His father, Randy Harris, told NewsNation the recent timeline released by police has as much detail as the family and investigators know about.

“We’re hoping for some additional information in the very near future,” Harris said.

Before Caleb Harris disappeared and stopped all communication with friends and family, he sent a Snapchat photo to a high school friend showing what police said is a small bridge over a drainage ditch near his apartment.

That area is under close investigation, and Randy Harris said authorities and search and rescue teams, along with volunteers, have been diligent.

“That area was hand-to-hand walking in the creek,” Harris said. “The creek wasn’t flowing at the time, so it’s just a muddy bottom creek. It’s very easy to see into it thoroughly.”

Harris said his son wasn’t the type of person to get up and leave without telling his family, close friends or roommates. He said he also believes his son was barefoot when he disappeared and knows he didn’t have his keys or wallet.

With Caleb Harris having been gone for so long, his family thinks he may not be in the area around Texas A&M anymore and want to get the attention to people in other parts of Texas and other states to let them know to be on the lookout.

In addition to the increased reward, Randy Harris said the family is also urging people to check any video they may have.

“Check your Ring cameras periodically,” he said. “Just see if you see something.”

Caleb Harris has brown hair and eyes, is 5’11” and weighs about 180 pounds. Anyone with information can call the Corpus Christi Police Department at 361-886-2840 or 361-886-2600.
