(NewsNation) — A massive search is expanding Friday morning for 3-year-old Elijah Vue, a Wisconsin boy missing since Tuesday.
Two people — Katrina Baur and Jesse Vang — have been arrested under suspicion of child neglect in connection to Vue’s case.
No formal charges have been filed, but Baur and Vang are scheduled to appear in court at 12:45 p.m. CT Friday.
Baur was identified as Vue’s mother by relatives, and Vang’s address matched where Vue was last seen before he disappeared.
An Amber Alert for Vue issued Tuesday in Manitowoc County by the FBI’s Milwaukee office remains in effect.
The FBI’s post said Vue weighs about 45 pounds, is about 3 feet tall and has sandy hair, brown eyes and a birthmark on his left knee.
An adult caregiver last saw Vue at about 8 a.m. Tuesday at a residence in the city of Two Rivers. Vue was last seen wearing gray pants, a long-sleeved dark shirt and red and green dinosaur shoes. He is possibly carrying a red and white plaid blanket, the police department said.
Police have not shared significant updates or leads in the case as the search continues. Officers are now searching local rivers and landfills, saying they “will leave no stone unturned.”
Two Rivers Police Chief Ben Meinnert has urged anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward and share that with law enforcement.
