REYNOLDS STATION, Ky. (WEHT)- Kentucky State Police concluded day six of searching Tuesday afternoon. KSP and cadaver dogs were unsuccessful in locating missing 8-month-old Miya Rudd.

KSP Trooper, Corey King says, “this is truly a case on how illicit street drugs can and will destroy lives and cause erosion of our community.”

King tells NewsNation affiliate WEHT that parents Tesla Tucker and Cage Rudd struggle with drug addiction, affecting other children who were removed due to unsafe living conditions several years ago.

The most recent search involved cadaver dogs, hoping to locate Miya. KSP says that forensic interviews and tips led them to Hardin Lane.

If a dog did hit on an area in this location, KSP says it will preserve the ground and investigate.

King continued to say, “By looking at the maps, we’ll see a cemetery and behind the church of the cemetery as well as the heavy wooded area with some ditches. There’s a variety of debris they are seeing in these ditches, the cadaver dogs, we’re looking at that debris as well as any type of sign of disturbed earth.”

Trooper Corey King says now is the time to continue giving anonymous tips, hoping somebody has information that will locate the child.

King says, “Thank you for the tips coming in; however, it hasn’t led us to this baby and that’s what we need from the public. Someone knows something, we would be very hopeful that maybe someone’s holding this child for them at this moment. It’s okay if that’s the case, you’re not going to get in trouble for that. We just need to know the whereabouts of this child.”

KSP is urging the public to do the right thing, and if you know something, tell someone.
