Police searching for missing Austin mom, daughter of ex-MLB player

Note: Brenna Swindell has been found alive.

AUSTIN (NewsNation) — Authorities in Austin are searching for 29-year-old Brenna Swindell, a missing mother of three and the daughter of former MLB pitcher Greg Swindell.

Brenna Swindell was last seen around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday at Poodies Hilltop Bar in Spicewood with her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry, according to the Austin Police Department. Neither has been seen since.

Police said Brenna Swindell may be traveling in a white 2022 Kia Carnival with the Texas license plate VFS 7528., last spotted in Colorado Springs or Denver.

Her sister confirmed Monday morning that her last known location was in Boise, Idaho, KPRC-TV reported.

Police have attempted to activate GPS on Swindells’s vehicle to pinpoint its location; however, both Swindell and Guidry’s phones have been off since Aug. 23.

Police said Swindell hasn’t been in contact with any of her family or friends and they’re concerned about “her safety and immediate welfare.”

Greg Swindell, who played for the Houston Astros and six other MLB teams, is actively involved in the search for his daughter, per KPRC. The family has emphasized Brenna Swindell would never willingly abandon her children, and they fear she may be in serious danger.

Brenna Swindell is described as 5’10,” weighing about 120-140 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes, and tattoos on both arms.

Anyone with information about Swindell’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 or APD’s Missing Person’s Unit at 512-974-5250.
