(NewsNation) — Six months after Sebastian Rogers disappeared, his parents are still seeking answers and his father said finding the teen “doesn’t feel like a shared goal” with his mother and stepfather.

Rogers was reported missing Feb. 26 by his mother, Katie Proudfoot, and an endangered child alert was issued for Rogers, who is autistic. Proudfoot said she last saw her son the night before and heard a thud from his room around 10 p.m.

Authorities searched the area near the family’s Hendersonville, Tennessee, home. An Amber Alert was also issued and a local pond was drained as part of the search until local law enforcement scaled back efforts in March.

Police have said there is no evidence of criminal activity in Rogers’ disappearance at this time.

Katie Proudfoot and her husband, Chris Proudfoot, raised eyebrows when they left the home in Tennessee so Chris Proudfoot could seek work elsewhere.

Seth Rogers, Sebastian’s biological father, has hired a private investigator to continue searching for his son. He’s said there are suspicious circumstances around Sebastian’s disappearance, including the fact that his phone and Nintendo Switch were left behind and his shoes were left near the door.

“I don’t want my son to become a cold case,” Seth Rogers said during an appearance on “Elizabeth Vargas Reports.” “The way I’m seeing things now, it’ll be a cold case.”

Sebastian Rogers is described as being 5 feet, 5 inches with sandy blond hair. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants and glasses. Anyone with information should call 615-451-3838 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
