(NewsNation) — A new California law will ban private universities from considering an applicant’s relationship to alumni or donors. Gov. Gavin Newsom says the law will level the playing field, but not everyone agrees. Andy Lockwood, founder of Lockwood College Prep, says he doesn’t believe much will change because “there aren’t any penalties” associated with the new law.
