CHICAGO (NewsNation Now) — Thieves in America appear to no longer fear the police or prosecutors, much less the people they are stealing from — and perhaps that’s with good reason. NewsNation’s Brian Entin joins us with a live report on why some retailers refuse to confront thieves in the act.

Jason Brewer, the spokesman for the Retail Industry Leaders Association, is also here to discuss retail theft. The association represents 200 of America’s largest retailers and just sent a letter to Congress proposing a solution to the smash-and-grab epidemic.

Scott Tranter handled data for the Marco Rubio campaign in 2016 and now works in the private sector conducting polls for hedge funds and politicians. He’s the co-founder of Decision Desk HQ and joins us live to discuss NewsNation’s survey on how Americans are reacting to rising crime.

Then, May Davis, former legal advisor to President Donald Trump, talks about what’s next as California’s governor pushes for a new law that would allow Californians to sue people who sell, manufacture or distribute assault weapons and so-called ghost gun kits.

Colby Hall, the founding editor of Mediaite.com, joins us to talk about Chris Wallace leaving Fox News for CNN’s new streaming service.

Dan O’Donnell, host of The Dan O’Donnell Show, appears on the show to talk about Jeff Bezos’ response to the Amazon warehouse that was damaged during tornado outbreaks.

Independent journalist Ali Bradley gives us the latest update on what’s happening at the border and the U.S. response.

Comedian Michael Loftus discuss Time naming Elon Musk it’s “Person of the Year.”
