CHICAGO (NewsNation Now) — A committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot held its first meeting Tuesday, featuring testimony from four officers who defended the Capitol. Tonight, we hear from a constitutional law expert and a White House official under President Obama about what Americans can expect to learn from the hearing and the politics at play.

Plus, we show you troubling pictures from the New York Times of a new nuclear missile site being constructed in a barren desert in China. It’s the second field found in China in recent weeks. Both combined will give China roughly 230 new missile silos. A national security tells us it is as scary as it sounds.
