(NewsNation) — Ann O’Leary, who was a senior adviser to Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign, says Harris got it right when she said almost nothing in her CNN interview about Donald Trump’s attack on her racial heritage. Lauren Wright, an associate research scholar and lecturer in politics at Princeton University, agrees. She says there’s no reason for Harris to engage in that subject when it harms Trump and runs counter to GOP attempts to deemphasize racial identity.
