How is the Supreme Court Going to Get Out of This?
The Supreme Court can’t get out of deciding the Colorado Trump ballot question: How do they lose the least?
- Thought bubble: If it’s a 9-0 decision in favor of Trump, which based on some very skeptical questions for Colorado’s lawyer from Democrat-appointed judges seems possible, will the media still trash the “legitimacy” of the “MAGA” court?
Former Obama adviser David Axelrod even criticized the effort to take Trump off the ballot. Michael Luciano reports in Mediaite that Axelrod told Erin Burnett that it “worries” him.
Watch tonight: Former Deputy Assistant Attorney General Tom Dupree will discuss this with us.
Democratic Sleight of Hand
Finally, Republicans got immigration center stage in American politics. The border bill was in the Senate and even President Joe Biden admitted the border was open. Eight illegal immigrants beat up two New York City cops and the New York governor got angry…
Yet, somehow Democrats figured out how to get Republicans to fight with each other.
According to reporting from Charlie Nash (@CharlieNash) with Mediaite, Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-T.X., called Rep. Chip Roy, R-T.X., a “major pain in the ass for all of us” and suggested he could use a “military-style beatdown.”
Roy did the unthinkable and told the truth about Trump’s claims on the border while lamenting that NOTHING gets done to protect the American homeland.
Who do they really care about? So says Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn.: “(Democrat strategy) has failed to deliver for the people we care about most, the undocumented Americans that are in this country.”
Watch tonight: Rep. Roy will be on to discuss what happens next and how House Republicans will deal with the Senate passing a foreign aid bill WITHOUT all the border protections the border patrol wanted.
Why do Democrats Want a Blank Check for Ukraine but Not Israel?
If you try to put restrictions on Ukraine aid, you are considered a Putin lover, but if you try to put restrictions on aid to Israel, you are considered a humanitarian.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., calls for an end to a blank check to Israel, adding that a two-state solution must come out of this, ignoring that Hamas leaders refuse to accept a two-state solution.
Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona refuses to say “from the river to the sea” chant is antisemitic.
Samuel Robinson writes in Axios that Biden aides will meet with Arab American leaders in Michigan, a state Biden is in danger of losing.
Thought bubble: Not a lot of Russians angry about “Ukraine aid” live in Michigan.
One for the Road: Where are the “Gays for Palestine”?
The Jerusalem Post writes, “A court of the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen has sentenced 13 people to public execution on homosexuality charges, the French wire service AFP reported on Tuesday. Another 35 people have been detained for similar charges.”
Where are all the people with the signs that said “Gays for Palestine” now? What about the people who said, “Yemen, Yemen, make us proud”?
