(NewsNation Now) — The pace of President Donald Trump’s campaign quickened Monday as he made three stops in Pennsylvania. But he did not have the state all to himself.

In his only appearance of the day, former Vice President Joe Biden was driven 15 miles from his Delaware home to the suburbs of Philadelphia where he attacked the Trump administration, saying it was surrendering to the virus.

“Mr. President you have to have a little bit of shame, because people are dying. More people are going to die. If he just wore a mask and social distanced; I’m not going to give up. I don’t know what I am going to inherit on January 20th, but we’ll deal with it,” said Biden.

He was asked about his light campaign schedule when compared to the president’s.

“I said we are going to continue to travel, and why it looks like we’re not traveling is we’re not putting on super-spreaders. I am doing like—here, everyone has masks on.”

He said he will be campaigning over the next week in Iowa, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Florida — all four states won by President Trump four years ago.

The president won the endorsement of the New York Post Monday. He held three large rallies across Pennsylvania and reported what he said were some positive polling results.

“One up in Nevada,” Trump said in Allentown. “We’re way up in Texas despite what you keep hearing, five up in Texas. I think what much more than that if you listen to the governor of Texas who’s great. In Ohio, we’re way up by four or five points, five points. In Florida, we have it down is four up in Florida,” he said.

Trump rejected criticism of the administration’s coronavirus response even as infections and deaths continue to increase nationwide.

“We will vanquish the virus, we will overcome the pandemic and we will emerge better, stronger and more unified than ever,’ he said.
