(NewsNation) — President Joe Biden is all but guaranteed to clinch the Democratic nomination for the 2024 election, and the protest vote over his stance on the Israel-Hamas war doesn’t seem to be presenting him with much of a challenge.

After an uncommitted push in Michigan, advocates and other states asked voters to pick “uncommitted” as their selection on the ballot Tuesday.

Rep. Kathy Manning, D-N.C., tells NewsNation she doesn’t think it’ll be a problem for the “vast majority of Americans.”

“The vast majority of Americans are with Israel, and understand that that President Biden will stand with our ally Israel, the only democratic country in the Middle East,” Manning said.

In Michigan, however, more than 100,000 voters cast ballots for “uncommitted,” and the effort could expand to states like Colorado and Minnesota.

Biden will make his case to the American people as to why he should get to serve another term during this week’s State of the Union address, during which he will lay out his administration’s priorities and accomplishments.

After that, Biden is back on the campaign trail in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as he kicks his campaign into full gear.
