Hulk Hogan rips shirt off: ‘Let Trump-a-mania run wild’

(NewsNation) — Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan spoke Thursday at the Republican National Convention ahead of former President Trump’s acceptance speech.
Hogan addressed Trump’s attempted assassination, ripping his shirt off and saying: “They tried to kill the next president of the United States, enough was enough. And I said, ‘Let Trump-a-mania run wild brother, rule again, and make America great again.'”
The former professional wrestler, whose legal name is Terry Bollea, was greeted by a “USA” chant as he came to the podium, which later returned later in his speech.
Hogan said he has seen “some great tag teams” in his career but now sees the “greatest tag team of my life,” referring to Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio. Hogan later said as an entertainer her “tried to stay out of politics” but he can’t stay silent now.
“Everything that happened last weekend, I can no longer stay silent,” referring to the attempted assassination of Trump.
“I’m here tonight because I want the world to know that Donald Trump is a real American hero, and I’m proud to support my hero as the next president of this United States.”
