Kansas Election Results Midterms 2022
(NewsNation) — NewsNation/Decision Desk HQ has called the Kansas gubernatorial race for incumbent Democrat Laura Kelly.
NewsNation/Decision Desk HQ also called the U.S. Senate race in Kansas for Republican incumbent Jerry Moran.
Moran won his third term in the U.S. Senate, defeating Democrat Mark Holland, the former mayor of Kansas City, Kansas, and a United Methodist pastor.
Kansas had four contested U.S. House districts where voters choose their representatives.
NewsNation/Decision Desk HQ has called the 3rd District congressional seat for Sharice Davids.
Davids held on to her district, overcoming Republican attacks over crime and the economy and new GOP-drawn boundaries designed to make her district harder for her to win.
On Tuesday, 470 seats in the U.S. Congress — 35 Senate seats and all 435 House seats — will be up for election. These elections will determine who has control over the two branches of Congress, and ultimately, who sets the agenda for President Joe Biden’s remaining years in office.
