CHICAGO (NewsNation Now) — Tony Bobulinski, a former business associate of Hunter Biden, was scheduled to meet with the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs Friday, but the meeting was postponed because the FBI requested to interview him, according to the Senate Committee.
The FBI has yet to confirm the meeting. “It is standard practice to neither confirm nor deny the existence of an investigation,” the bureau told NewsNation.
Bobulinski is a retired lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, which he says was working with the Bidens’ regarding their business arrangements in China.
He was a guest of President Donald Trump at Thursday night’s debate. Prior to the final faceoff, Bobulinski gave the following remarks to several media outlets.
“I’ve heard Joe Biden say he never discussed business with Hunter. That is false…Tomorrow I will be meeting with the Senate committee members concerning this matter and I will be providing the FBI with the devices which contain the evidence corroborating what I have said.”

Bobulinski claims he has first-hand knowledge of the Biden family’s business dealings. President Trump referenced his claims during the debate and Joe Biden refuted them.
“I have not taken a penny from any foreign source ever in my life,” the Democratic presidential nominee said.
A computer hard drive said to be owned by Hunter Biden was used as the source of the now controversial New York Post article. The Post said it obtained emails and intimate messages between Biden and his son along with information regarding Biden’s connection to foreign lawmakers from President Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.
The FBI is now investigating to determine whether the emails are part of a foreign influence operation.
Hunter Biden nor the Biden campaign has yet to confirm their connection to Bobulinski or the validity of the Post article.
