(NewsNation) — The House Foreign Affairs Committee is expected to hold a hearing Wednesday on the Houthi threat in the Middle East.

The hearing, titled “Iran’s Proxy in Yemen: The Houthi Threat to Middle East Stability, Global Shipping, and U.S. Servicemembers,” is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. ET in Washington.

Lawmakers will hear testimony from Simone Ledeen, the former U.S. Department of Defense deputy assistant secretary of defense for the Middle East; Dr. Kenneth Pollack, a former CIA analyst and NSC Director for the Persian Gulf; and Dr. Jon Alterman, senior vice president for the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
