President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden was found guilty on three felony gun charges Tuesday in a case brought by federal prosecutors.
The 12-person jury unanimously found Hunter Biden guilty on two counts of making a false statement about his drug use when obtaining a gun in 2018, and one count of unlawfully possessing a gun. He now faces up to 25 years in prison.
This trial was the first of two Hunter Biden faces amid his father’s reelection campaign. The president has said he plans to accept the jury’s verdict and has ruled out a pardon for his son.
